2 Movers & the Van

For 2 man jobs we charge $110/hr with a 3 hr minimum. There is a fee for stairs ($10/flight) and a small gas and equipment charge. These two smaller charges are flat and not added to the rate. All time after the first 3 hrs is pro-rated. If your move were to take 3 hours and 15 minutes we would only charge you for 15 minutes of the 4th hour ($27.50). If a second trip is necessary and the van is mostly full the stairs charge may be doubled. This determination will be left up to the movers' discretion. *Exceptions are often made and 2 hr minimums for smaller moves are common.

 

A full van load usually takes ~3 hours.

1 Mover & the van

Flat Fee Delivery/Long Distance

For delivery of a single piece of furniture (or a few things) we usually charge a flat fee. If you’re going from one borough to another the charge will likely be $185. If you’re staying close we charge $75-$130 depending on the specifics of your job. We also charge flat fees for long distance moves to mitigate the effect that traffic can have. This flat fee includes all labor, gas, tolls and other expenses. Our going rate for a full van load and 2 movers going from NYC to Boston is ~$1,300 and DC is ~$1,400. $1,000 for the same trip with one mover (bonus, you can catch a ride in the van). Full loads to Philly with 2 movers is usually around $960.
